Secret Prison

This is the first page from a collaborative comic that I did with Patrick Kyle for the 666th issue of Secret Prison.  It was pretty erotic.  I inked all his stuff and he inked all mine.  I also did this ad for Koyama Press, which will be printed in there somewhere...

Study Group Magazine!

I am honoured to be included in the second issue of Study Group Magazine!  I did a three-pager about the Beastlord.  The actual issue will be printed in two-colours, so I'm pretty excited to see the final product.  I am humbled that I was asked to participate, as the first issue carried such a wealth of talent!
I think this is slated to debut at this year's inaugural Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), where I will be exhibiting with Koyama Press.
Thanks a ton to Zack Soto.

Horrible #1

Horrible #1 is a new comic by Patrick Kyle, Michael Deforge, Zach Worton and myself.  It will be debuting at TCAF this year.  It's a pretty great book.  Here's the second page from my story:

Wowee Zonk #4

Here's the full wrap-around cover I did for Wowee Zonk 4, published by Koyama Press.  I am very excited for you to get your hands on a copy!  Here's a little info on the new book:

Created and edited by Toronto-based artists Patrick Kyle, Ginette Lapalme and Chris Kuzma, Wowee Zonk has been a champion of unconventional comics work and Canadian content from its inception as a hand-printed zine in 2007. Since that time, Wowee Zonk has grown exponentially; spanning three issues, it has published the work of eleven up-and-coming Toronto artists. The third issue was published by Koyama Press in 2010 and was nominated for the Pigskin Peters Award (which recognizes non-traditional and avant-garde comics) at the 2011 Doug Wright Awards.
Wowee Zonk 4 is the largest and most ambitious issue to date, featuring a number of Canadian and international contributors, each with their own unique approach to storytelling and image making. This issue will include new works by Andrei Georgescu, Adam Buttrick, Steph Davidson, Alex Schubert, Mark Connery, Ryan Dodgson, Donald Dixon, Benjamin Hettinga, and Marc Bell, as well as contributions from the editors Patrick Kyle, Ginette Lapalme and Chris Kuzma.
Wowee Zonk 4 explores the possibilities of an entirely unique medium and continues the tradition of turning cartooning on its head.

That's a panel from my story.  Your first chance to pick up a copy will be at this year's Toronto Comic Arts Festival, where we will be debuting the book.  Ginette Lapalme, Patrick Kyle and myself will once again be curating the small press space at the the show, so do your best to stop by.  Our tables will be overflowing with delectable items for your perusal.
See you there.

NUVO magazine

I did this illustration for the excellent NUVO Magazine.  The article was about dancing, and how the majority of us will forgoe our usual reservations and just let loose at weddings.
Thanks again to Mark Reynolds.

Tremors Festival

I recently did these four images for the Tremors Contemporary Theatre Festival in Vancouver.
Clockwise from the top left, the plays are: The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Giant Invisible Robot, Endgame, and A Last Resort.

These are a couple of alternative images that were turned down (Judas and A Last Resort respectively).  I would've preferred this one for A Last Resort, but it ain't up to me!
Whenever I do poster stuff, I try to work out of my comfort zone.  I drew these all using my tablet.  They were looking for a unifying theme.  Can you guess what it is?

So that's how they turned out!  So big!  I wish I could see these things in person.  They are also For now I have to rely on my buddy Daryl (pictured in full Endgame costume) to relay me the details.

Thanks a ton to Daryl King, Kellee Ngan, Kristen Johnson, and Laura Efron.
